Oh the Weather Outside is Fantastic

I am absolutely in love with our sunny winter Colorado days! It is difficult to imagine what could be better than a brisk walk to the park with our sweet girl as the blue sky floats over our amazing mountains. Caroline has mastered the stairs, slide and swings at our community park and has to be torn away kicking and screaming (sometimes literally) after each visit.

They'll Be Coming Around the Mountain..

So excited for Papa Lyle and Grandma Karen's visit in February. Papa is bringing his toolbox to help finish the basement out and Caroline is hoping Grandma will show her how to make her yummy chocolate covered potato chips!

You've Got Mail

~It seems a highlight of our new neighborhood is the nightly walk to the community mailbox. Nothing like bundling up and finding a few glow sticks to guide the way! 

A Little iPad is Better Than No iPad

Welcome to the mint edition of the 'Colorado Kerschers'. My first month as Caroline's full-time mommy has prompted this blog. January has proved to be amazing, tiring, motivating, frustrating and fulfilling! We have figured out our routine and she has come to terms with the fact that mommy is indeed in charge at least 70% of the time...ok maybe 60%.

Patrick and I recently discerned we created a little blonde techie monster during our extensive car travels of 2012. Needless to say we had a come-to-Jesus concerning ipad time which resulted in Caroline lying on the floor crying/whining/pouting for an entire day. She did finally succumb to the realization that 1/2 hour of ipad a day is better than no ipad. 

Most of you know we are embarking on the amazing adventure of foster adoption. We are officially licensed and eagerly awaiting Caroline's new sibling(s). We will keep you posted....
